2016 November Player of the Week Dinner

The North Georgia Touchdown Club welcomes Former NFL Star Bryan Scott as guest speaker on November 14th for the Player of the Week Dinner

Bryan is a native of Buckingham, Pennsylvania. Although he was primarily a football player, He excelled as a 3 sport star at Central Bucks East High School. He rush for more than 3,000 yards before moving to defensive back as a senior, where he had 53 tackles with three interceptions. He earned consensus first-team All-American and was named the Associated Press Pennsylvania Big School Player of the Year and the USA Today Pennsylvania Player of the Year his senior year.

He also averaged nearly 20 points per game in basketball as a senior and was a Pennsylvania state prep medalist in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Scott went on to play college football at Penn State University under legendary head coach Joe Paterno. A Three-year starter, playing in all 48 career games, he recorded 202 tackles and 5 interceptions which earned him a spot in the 2003 Senior Bowl.

Bryan was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2nd round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He had a breakout rookie year for Atlanta, as he led all defensive backs with 63 tackles. In his second year with Atlanta he totaled 85 tackles and 2.5 sacks along with an interception. In his third season, he totaled 54 tackles and an interception. In 2006 Scott was traded to the New Orleans Saints, he spent one season with the Saints before signing with the Buffalo Bills where he spent the last 6 years of his career.

Scott is also a talented musician, He sings and plays the piano, drums and saxophone. Scott created a non-profit charity called the Pick Your Passion Foundation for the Arts to help motivated kids to participate in music and performing arts.  Bryan and his wife Maisha, and their kids resides here in Atlanta and currently own franchises for Title Boxing Club, Their goal is to help encourage families to transform their daily lives by becoming more physically active.  Join us on November 14th as we welcome Bryan to share his story with us.
